SUBJECT:  Wednesday December 5, 2018 – National Day of Mourning for President George H. Bush – Port Operating Hours

Last week, our nation lost a great leader, President George Herbert Walker Bush, the forty-first President of the United States.
To honor President Bush, President Donald J. Trump has declared Wednesday, December 5, 2018, as a National Day of Mourning. This day will be treated as a federal holiday so that eligible federal employees will be able to join all Americans and honor the legacy of President Bush.
Port of New Orleans Officers and Agriculture Specialists Operating Hours on Wednesday December 5, 2018:
  • Airport and Seaport Operations, to include the Centralized Examination Station (CES) and the Radiation Portal Monitors (RPMs) will observe REGULAR HOURS,
 
Outlying CBP Ports of Entry:
  • The Port of Morgan City will observe regular hours.
  • The Port of Lake Charles will observe regular hours.
  • The Port of Baton Rouge will observe regular hours.
  • The Port of Gramercy will observe regular hours.
  • The Port of Shreveport will be closed.  Requests for services should be made by contacting the port office on the business day preceding the federal holiday
