Hurricane Leslie is located about 450 miles to the west-southwest of Lisbon, Portugal. It is moving to the east-northeast at 36 mph. Maximum winds are near 80 mph. Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
The remnants of Nadine are located near 18N, 40W. It is moving to the west at 17 mph. Redevelopment is not expected due to unfavorable environmental conditions.

Disturbance 49 is located along 79W. It is nearly stationary. Environmental conditions are becoming increasingly unfavorable for development. Therefore, we have reduced the chance of development to 5 percent. The disturbance is forecast to move into Central America by early next week.

Disturbance 48 is located along 69W. It is moving to the west near 22 mph. No tropical development is expected as it continues to move westward across the Caribbean. It will likely enhance shower and thunderstorm activity across the northern Caribbean through the weekend.

We have identified Disturbance 53 near 5N, 35W. Environmental conditions appear to be marginal for development, and development chances are estimated to be near 10 percent. The disturbance will continue to move towards the west, and it will likely move into South America by the middle part of next week.
