Hurricane Leslie is located about 450 miles east of Bermuda. Leslie is slowly tracking towards the north, and will likely meander over the open Atlantic for the next several days. Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
Disturbance 47 is currently drifting to the north in the southwestern Caribbean, just off the coast of Nicaragua and Honduras. The weak area of low pressure is located near 15.0N, 82.0W. We have slightly increased the chance of tropical development to near 40 percent over the next seven days. The latest model guidance is in general agreement that the disturbance will continue to slowly track towards the north or north-northwest through the weekend, and will likely be near the Yucatan Peninsula on Monday. The disturbance is then expected to move into the southern Gulf of Mexico by Tuesday. Regardless of any tropical development, heavy rainfall will be the primary threat.

Disturbance 48 is located near 10.0N, 25.0W. It is moving to the west at 12 mph. There is a 10 percent chance of development over the next seven days. The disturbance could reach the Lesser Antilles by the middle part of next week, however there is a chance it could dissipate before reaching the islands.
