Kirk
Tropical Storm Kirk is about 60 miles to the east-northeast of Barbados. It is moving to the west at 16 mph. Kirk should pass north of Barbados later this morning and then move near Martinique this afternoon or this evening. Winds are 60 mph. Slight weakening is expected before Kirk reaches Martinique. Leslie
Leslie is a powerful extratropical storm with winds of 70 mph. Leslie is once again obtaining subtropical characteristics. It likely will become a subtropical storm or a hurricane later today. Leslie is expected to meander over the open subtropical Atlantic for the next several days as a very large system. Please see our latest advisory on your client weather website for more information.

Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
Disturbance 42 is located 165 miles to the SSE of Nantucket, MA. The system is moving to the northeast near 15 mph. It will be moving away from land areas. No tropical development is expected.

Disturbance 45 is located along 28W, to the west of the Cabo Verde Islands. It is moving to the northwest near 12 mph. No tropical development is expected.

Disturbance 46 has just moved off of the coast of Africa at a very low latitude. It is along 13.5W, south of 7N. It is moving to the west near 10 mph. There is a 10 percent chance of tropical development within the next 7 days.
