Info: S/V BLAKE, an 82-foot aluminum-hulled catamaran, and her launch, the Sigsbee, an 18-foot rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB), will be will be performing surveys.
Both vessels have an AIS and can be reached via VHF radio on channels 13, 16, and 67. 
Approaching vessels should give a wide berth to reduce impacts to survey data quality. 

NOTICE TO MARINERS-HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEY ACTIVITY-

Beginning September 12, 2018, David Evans and Associates, Inc. will be conducting hydrographic surveys of the Mississippi River under contract to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Coast Survey. S/V BLAKE, an 82-foot aluminum- hulled catamaran, and her launch, the Sigsbee, an 18-foot rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB), will be will be performing surveys between Baton Rouge, LA (RM 233) and Head of Passes (RM 0) (see survey area graphic on the next page). Operations are expected to continue until March 2019.

S/V BLAKE and RHIB Sigsbee will be operating during daylight hours. Both vessels have an AIS and can be reached via VHF radio on channels 13, 16, and 67. Approaching vessels should give a wide berth to reduce impacts to survey data quality.
