Disturbance 23 is located over the northwestern Caribbean along 84W. It is moving to the west near 23 mph. This motion is expected to continue. There is an area of squalls to the east of the wave axis south of western Cuba. However, there are no signs of organization. There is a near zero percent chance of tropical development. The disturbance is forecast to enhance shower and thunderstorm activity across the Bay of Campeche tonight into Tuesday.

Disturbance 25 is along 48W. It is moving to the west at 20 mph. This motion should continue. The disturbance is likely to bring enhanced rainfall to parts of the Lesser Antilles Wednesday and Thursday. The disturbance remains poorly organized. There is a near zero percent chance of tropical development.

Disturbance 26 is centered over 500 miles to the south-southeast of southeastern Newfoundland. Thunderstorms have decreased with the low over the past 24 hours. Conditions may be marginally favorable for the system to obtain tropical or subtropical characteristics through Wednesday as the low is forecast to meander several hundred miles to the southeast of Newfoundland. The chance of development has been reduced to 20 percent. If development were to occur, the system should move to the northeast late Wednesday into Thursday and pose no threat to land areas.

Disturbance 27 has been identified off the western coast of Africa along 21W. The disturbance is moving to the west at 15 mph. Environmental conditions will be unfavorable for development of this tropical wave. There is a near zero percent chance of development over the next seven days as it moves westward across the tropical Atlantic.
