Disturbance 24 has become Tropical Storm Debby. Debby is located as of the 4 AM AST (3 AM CDT) advisory about 465 miles SE of Newfoundland. Debby is moving to the north-northwest near 8 mph. It should soon turn to the northeast. It is no threat to land areas. Winds as of the latest advisory were 40 mph. Weakening should begin later today. Disturbance 23 is located along 48W. It is moving to the west near 20 mph. This motion should continue. While no tropical development will occur, the disturbance is likely to bring enhanced rainfall to the Lesser Antilles tomorrow.
