Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
The surface trough associated with Disturbance 4 is located over the Texas coastal plain this morning and drifting farther inland. The disturbance is not expected to develop. Over the far western Gulf of Mexico (west of 93W), areas of showers and storms will likely persist through at least Wednesday. Some of the strongest thunderstorms could produce wind gusts up to 50 kts (60 mph). Squalls currently over the northwestern Gulf will stream inland across the Texas coast through Thursday. The heaviest rainfall is expected along the middle and upper Texas coast.

Disturbance 7 is located over the eastern Caribbean along 67W. It is moving to the west at 20 mph. It remains weak and is not expected to develop. A westward motion is expected to continue. The disturbance will enhance shower and thunderstorm activity over northern Venezuela and Colombia through Wednesday.
