There are currently no disturbances. Development is not expected through late next week.

The American GFS model continues to indicate the formation of low pressure in the northwestern Caribbean Sea next weekend. The potential system would be similar to Alberto and track northward or north-northeastward through the Gulf of Mexico. However, all other reliable models indicate no development in the region through mid June. We will monitor the western Caribbean Sea for any signs of increasing thunderstorm activity late next week and through the weekend, Development chances are estimated at 10 percent.
