As of the 3 AM CDT advisory, Alberto was centered about 325 miles south of Apalachicola, Florida. It was moving to the NNE near 12 mph. Our forecast is for it to turn to the north and then to the north-northwest. Landfall is expected to occur before sunrise tomorrow around Apalachicola. Winds are currently 40 mph. Alberto is forecast to have 60 mph winds when it makes landfall. In addition to the wind, heavy rains are expected for the Florida Peninsula and the southeast United States.
