NOBRA Pilots – 12 Foot Gauge Restrictions w/ Additional Information

The Carrollton Gage in New Orleans has reached twelve (12) feet. Effective 12:00 a.m., February 28, 2018, NOBRA will implement the following restriction as mandated by the Board of Examiners:

“Mooring and unmooring operations at all mid-stream transfer facilities shall be restricted to daylight hours.”

This high water restriction will be in effect until the Carrollton Gage reaches twelve (12) feet and falling.

NOBRA Pilots – 16 Foot Gauge Restrictions

Due to the river reaching sixteen (16) feet at the Carrollton Gage, the following
restrictions will be implemented at 0400 on Saturday, March 10, 2018.

  1. Mile 233.0 AHP to Mile 90.5 AHP, south bound vessels will be daylight only;
  2. Mile 166.0 AHP to Mile 232.2 AHP, all vessels will be daylight only; and
  3. Vessels anchoring in NOBRA’s area of responsibility with a draft of 30 feet or greater
    must maintain a pilot on board while at anchor to insure safety of the vessel.

 

NOBRA Pilots – 16 Foot Gauge Restrictions Rescinded

The 16′ high water restrictions that were implemented on March 10, 2018, will be rescinded at 0400, Friday, March 30, 2018. This is due to the Carrollton Gauge reaching 16 feet and falling.

Just a reminder that the 12′ restrictions regarding daylight mooring when a mooring boat is required are still in effect.
